Tongji University School of Politics and International Relations was formally established in 2009. From 65438 to 0986, Tongji University established the Department of Social Sciences, embarked on the road of reconstruction of liberal arts, actively explored the development of political disciplines, and the study of international issues rose rapidly.

Tongji University School of Politics and International Relations has four departments: Political Department, International Relations Department, Foreign Affairs Department and Sociology Department. There are two undergraduate majors: political science and administration (including international political direction) and sociology;

It has the right to grant master's degree in political science, and has six two disciplines master's degree authorization points: political theory, Chinese and foreign political systems, political sociology, international relations, international politics and diplomacy; 20 18 10/8 was awarded the first-class discipline of political science.
