During its administration, Mianyang Middle School has rapidly developed from an ordinary municipal middle school with an area of only 105 mu, assets of less than 40 million yuan and only 300 undergraduates into an aircraft carrier-class school with an area of more than 300 mu, assets of 1 500,000 yuan, more than 10,000 students and thousands of undergraduate and key universities. It has achieved a synchronous leap in the scale of running a school and the quality of teaching. In 2000, it was promoted to the first batch of national demonstration high schools in Sichuan Province. In 2003, it became the only school in Mianyang City to enter the first batch of top 100 middle schools in China, laying a solid foundation for Mianyang Middle School to rank first in basic education for many years. Under his leadership, Zhong Mian has not only achieved extraordinary and leap-forward development, but also made outstanding contributions to promoting the development of basic education in Mianyang and even Sichuan. After the May 12 earthquake in 2008, in order to strengthen the post-earthquake reconstruction of Beichuan Middle School, on October 26, 2008, the Mianyang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government decided that Wang Hejin, then director of Mianyang Education Bureau, would also be the principal of Beichuan Middle School.

At the same time, he also presided over and participated in nearly ten provincial and ministerial education and scientific research projects, and achieved outstanding research results. Among them, the research achievement of "autonomous education in learning process" won the second prize of the provincial government, and more than ten papers were published in various journals at all levels and exchanged at provincial and municipal academic conferences. Because of his outstanding performance, he has been awarded the honorary titles of "Special Grade Teacher in Middle School", "Excellent Principal in Sichuan Province", "Excellent Individual in Mianyang City", "Star Principal", "Principal with Outstanding Contribution" and "Mianyang Education Expert" by the provincial government, relevant departments and the municipal party committee. Since 199 1, it has been continuously rated as an excellent league member or an excellent party worker by the Municipal Education Party Committee.
