A representative figure of modern education
The representative figure of modern pedagogy is john dewey, an American psychologist, educator and thinker.

Dewey is "the spokesman of modern education" because he put forward three centers different from traditional education: children center, activity center and experience center. Herbart is the representative of traditional educational theory, and advocates three traditional centers: teacher center, teaching material center and classroom center. Locke put forward the theory of "gentleman education" and "whiteboard theory".

Although Rousseau's natural education thought laid the foundation and inspired the modern education tradition, Dewey, who played a key role in this theory, was praised as "the spokesman of modern education" in the history of education.

Dewey (1859- 1952), an American psychologist, educator and pragmatist, is known as the spokesman of modern education in western history. Dewey is a person who is often tested in pedagogy, and Dewey's relevant educational works and expositions are the test sites in the exam. Therefore, it is necessary to sort out Dewey's relevant knowledge points.

The two opposing schools in the history of education are the traditional education school and the modern education school. Herbart is regarded as the representative of traditional education, while Dewey is regarded as the representative of modern education school because of his progressive thought. The thoughts of these two schools are often involved in the teacher recruitment examination, and most of them appear in the form of objective questions, which are easy to be confused. In order to let everyone know their own ideas better, we will compare the two factions in the form of a table to help everyone clear their minds and get high marks in the exam.
