Anhui University is the only double-class construction university directly under Anhui Province. Now it is the United University of the Ministry of Education, with the Huizhou Research Center of the National Humanities Research Center. In Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, there are also two first-class universities, namely China Academy of Sciences and China University of Science and Technology and Gonggong University directly under the Ministry of Education. Relatively speaking, the investment in the construction of Anhui University is limited, even less than half of the double-class universities in other provinces, which restricts the development of the school to some extent.
