The College of Food and Light Industry, where the center is located, has a first-class doctoral program in light industry technology and engineering (including four doctoral programs in two disciplines, including fermentation engineering, sugar making engineering, pulp and paper making, and leather engineering), two doctoral programs in biomaterials and industrial biocatalysis, two master's degree authorization programs in light industry technology and engineering, and a master's degree authorization program in light industry technology and engineering/kloc-0. There are three undergraduate majors: food science and engineering, light chemical industry and dairy project. Fermentation engineering is a key discipline in Jiangsu Province. The center consists of light chemical engineering laboratory, additives research and development laboratory, textile function testing laboratory, textile additives and ecological dyeing and finishing research institute, food science and engineering laboratory, dairy project professional laboratory, fermentation engineering laboratory, National Light Industry Food Quality Supervision and Testing Nanjing Station, National Light Industry Perfume Cosmetics Washing Products Quality Supervision and Testing Nanjing Station, and Provincial Public Technical Service Center for Fast Food Safety Testing. At the same time, the center has off-campus practical education bases-Jiangsu Sultan Wool Textile Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Yanghe Winery Co., Ltd., and the center undertakes an average of 35,000 undergraduate experimental teaching, 6,543,800 course design and graduation design practice, and about 500 innovative and off-campus practice. The average number of students participating in practical teaching exceeds 400, and the annual teaching workload exceeds 6,543,800+100,000 person-times.
