The idea of "living education" was put forward by Mr. Chen Heqin in Jiangxi Experimental Kindergarten Normal School 1940. After seven years' teaching practice, the educational theory system was established. This theory includes teleology, curriculum theory and methodology, as well as 17 teaching principle and 13 discipline principle. It is not only the generalization and summary of Chen Heqin's long-term educational practice, but also has a profound theoretical basis and is the product of the integration of Chinese and Western culture and educational thoughts.
Chen Heqin believes that only by understanding children's psychology and understanding children can we talk about educating children. This is a "living education", not a dead education. Simply put, a living education is an "immortal education". The bookish education is the education of death. We should live in education, teaching materials, methods and teaching materials. We work together for the welfare of children. Try to make use of children's hands, brain, mouth, ears and eyes, and break the education of listening with ears, seeing with eyes instead of talking with mouth, and thinking with brains.
To educate children well and make our education alive instead of dead, we must understand their psychology. Quote two cautionary words of Mr. Tao Xingzhi, a great educator in China, when describing the educational situation in China: teach books to die, teach the dead, and teach the dead; Read dead books, read dead books, read dead books. We changed it to: a teacher, teaching and educating people; Read living books, living books, living books.
