First of all, the necessity of new curriculum reform in senior high school is seen from the current quality of college students.
Seeing off every year, I keep in touch with college students from all over the motherland and feel everything about them. Through classroom teaching, extracurricular activities, internships and various possible ways and means, as university teachers, we feel the excitement of students from one session to another, and at the same time we constantly feel the helplessness and sadness from them. As a person, I often sigh in my heart that there are not as many college students as there are now. This sigh may be a bit excessive, but it becomes clearer and clearer in my mind every year. What makes me feel so bad? It is not that students' academic performance is not as good as before, that their mental outlook is not as good as before, that students are not as diligent and studious as before, but that the quality of college students has not improved synchronously with the progress of society and the rapid development of science and technology. Some students' literacy is even significantly lower than that of college students a few years ago.
I dare not jump to conclusions about what causes the quality of today's college students to fail to improve steadily, but at least I think there are two aspects of education that cannot be shirked, one is today's family education, and the other is today's school education. The possible disadvantages of these two major educations may be related to the current way of selecting talents in our country, especially the annual college entrance examination, which instructs almost all parents to focus on whether their children can enter the college entrance examination, enter a university or even attend an ideal university. It seems that these children have no other way out except the college entrance examination and the college entrance examination. Therefore, once children enter high school, learning or hobbies, self-cultivation and other activities basically stop. The child's only task is to study hard and wind the spring tightly, so as not to lose control once it is loose. So these children do nothing at home, even what they should do is done by their parents. The only thing they have to do is to read books, do problems, strengthen training and so on. What a tragedy! As a result, a series of problems came out. Some children get lost in their own cities, some children don't know how to buy things properly, some children have serious psychological problems, and parents need to accompany them in the college entrance examination, so the whole family should go to college together.
Because parents and society attach so much importance to it, school education must follow the trend, otherwise it will be difficult for the school to gain a foothold in society. Therefore, the keynote of school operation is to decide on everything for students' exams and upgrades. It seems that we can't give students too many ideas and plans except exams. Therefore, these students have given the most active stage of their lives to the repeated practice and consolidation of book knowledge, while all other things that can improve their self-cultivation and quality have been basically cancelled or just taken a form, which has brought many regrets to students throughout their lives. This is the sorrow of our education and the great loss of students. Schools pay more and more attention to it, which in turn gives parents a shot in the arm, so the whole society has such views and expectations.
When these children finally go to college and relax, their true nature will gradually emerge, while those who don't go to college may have more problems, and some people will gradually become a burden to society. These college students reflect too many ridiculous and sad problems in their college life and study, such as not making their own beds and washing clothes, not interacting with people, not adjusting their emotions to adapt to the new environment and new problems, not knowing how to deal with emergencies, only knowing how to spend money, not knowing the hardships of making money, and not knowing how to sympathize with the weak and offer love. There are also many problems in learning, such as being late for class, not giving any explanation, writing irregular leave notes, plagiarizing homework, having psychological burden on experiments and activities, illogical sentences written in graduation thesis, not being able to communicate with people smoothly or even knowing basic etiquette, and so on. Of course, not all college students are like this, but it can be said that it is a relatively common phenomenon, which is rare among early college students.
This is not the expected educational result, but it is all around us and we can't avoid it. We need to come up with more reasonable solutions through rational thinking to solve these problems step by step, which is related to the growth of generation after generation and the development of our country. The college entrance examination itself is good, but what is wrong is how we treat it and how to use it. If we only consider students' knowledge mastery without considering other issues, the students we have trained will certainly not be recognized by this highly developed society in a competitive environment in the world, not to mention the rapid update and growth of knowledge now. Fortunately, our country has begun to pay attention to this problem, and has formulated a basic education reform plan, which has been launched one after another throughout the country. A new round of high school curriculum reform project will be gradually pushed forward on the basis of experiments. I think this is a great good thing and a "timely rain". Although we don't know whether the curriculum reform can be successful or not, at least we have taken an important step. We can constantly explore experience, constantly adjust ideas and practices, and gradually drag the basic education in China into a more reasonable track.
The core idea of this high school curriculum reform is to pay full attention to the development of each student, improve students' literacy in all aspects, and lay the necessary foundation for their lifelong development. Therefore, the new curriculum reform puts forward specific educational goals, changes the pure utilitarian goal system of education in the past, and puts forward new three-dimensional educational goals, namely knowledge and skills, process methods, emotional attitudes and values. Knowledge and skills are important, but people need to face many challenges and choices in their lives. Knowledge and skills alone are not enough. Therefore, the new curriculum reform puts forward educational goals in terms of process methods and emotional attitudes and values, and makes up for what people need as a complete person. The talents trained by such education have more survival ability and the ability to participate in social competition.
Second, it is difficult to carry out the work in the implementation of the new curriculum reform in senior high schools.
In order to achieve this goal, we need to do a lot of things, change a lot of things, add a lot of things, and face many difficulties and unknowns, but we can't back down. We need to show enough courage, make necessary ideological preparations, and do a solid job in curriculum reform according to the deployment of education departments at all levels. Personally, I feel that in the process of realizing the new curriculum reform, there are several aspects that are more difficult to do.
The first arduous task is how to "indoctrinate" the ideas and objectives of the new curriculum reform to the first-line high school teachers who directly participate in the new curriculum reform, so that they can really understand and grasp it in their hearts. Everyone has a fixed mode of thinking and habits. It is very difficult to completely break these patterns and habits and form a new way of thinking. Many high school teachers have long been accustomed to the old curriculum system and training mode, but the newly graduated teachers may not really master it. How do they face new things? It is unrealistic to just expect to "brainwash" many things in a short time through the so-called new curriculum reform training. What's more, even if teachers have these new ideas and attitudes, how can they be reflected in the actual teaching work and how can they be put into daily teaching? We still need to study, experiment and discuss, and we may have to pay the price, but I think the price is worth it.
The second difficult task is how to implement the new curriculum system, because it involves all aspects of school operation. If you don't think carefully, it may lead to great confusion, which no one wants to see. Therefore, we must further study and discuss on the basis of the experience gained in the pilot provinces, come up with a better implementation plan, and constantly monitor and adjust it during the implementation process. We should study and propose solutions to new problems in the implementation process in time, and make steady progress in the process of constantly discovering and solving problems.
The third difficult task is about course selection. Because the new curriculum reform plan puts forward a brand-new curriculum system, which breaks the original high school curriculum system and divides the whole curriculum system into three levels: field, subject and module, and designs eight fields altogether. Each domain consists of one or more topics, and each topic consists of multiple modules. The module is divided into compulsory and elective modules, and the elective module is divided into two levels, so the whole curriculum system is very complicated, which brings certain difficulties to students' course selection. In the old curriculum system, there is no problem of choosing courses, and students will learn whatever the school arranges. Now under the new curriculum reform, students have greater choice, and this mode of course selection is different from that in universities. It is relatively simple for college students to choose courses, basically they can choose whatever they want, but it is not so simple for high school students to choose courses. When to choose what kind of courses will determine whether a high school student has this ability, what factors need to be considered in choosing courses, what is the expected goal of choosing these courses, and so on. All these require the joint efforts of students, parents, schools and even society, so the problem is somewhat complicated and the work is relatively difficult to do.
The fourth difficult task may be the assessment. The new curriculum system introduces a brand-new evaluation system and evaluation method, which may not be so easy to implement and may encounter a series of practical problems. At present, no experience has been found to solve these problems, and the government decision-making bodies have not come up with feasible guidance. This time, it is proposed to combine the process evaluation with summative evaluation, how to implement the process evaluation, how to carry it out, how to treat it, how to treat it by students, how to treat it by parents, how to treat it by teachers, how to treat it by society and so on. Is the summative evaluation still based on exams? How to take the exam? Test what? The final evaluation result is the implementation of the credit system adopted by universities. How to give appropriate credits? By who? Whether there may be improper phenomena and so on. Of course, the most troublesome problem is how to link these evaluations with the college entrance examination system, which is a concern of almost everyone, and this problem must be solved in order to make this new curriculum reform finally successful.
There will definitely be problems, and the difficulty of work will definitely exist. The key is how everyone who participates in the new curriculum reform in senior high school views them, what kind of mentality and attitude to meet the challenge, carry out the new curriculum reform project steadily, and create a good educational environment for the new generation of senior high school students. This is our responsibility and our job. Secretary hodgepodge network
