Self-taught exams can be cross-city exams. According to the provisions of Article 20 of the Provisional Regulations on Higher Education Self-study Examination, except for the majors that make necessary occupational restrictions on applicants according to professional requirements, applicants may voluntarily choose the examination majors within the scope of the local majors to be set up.

Twenty-first applicants should go through the registration formalities at the unit designated by the provincial examination committee or the local examination committee according to the relevant regulations of the region.
