The school, formerly known as Northwest College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was founded in Xi 'an, 1952. 1959 upgraded to Shaanxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. 1978 began to recruit and train master students, and was identified as one of the eight key Chinese medicine colleges in China. 198 1 became the first batch of master's authorized units in China, and was renamed Shaanxi university of traditional Chinese medicine in 20 15.

Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is located in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. It is a university jointly established by state administration of traditional chinese medicine and Guizhou Provincial People's Government, a pilot university for the reform of the education and training plan for outstanding Chinese medicine talents, and a key university supported by Guizhou Province.
