Is there a foundation for practicing Buddhism in China?
There are many Buddhist foundations in Hong Kong and Taiwan, but there is no official foundation in Chinese mainland. Because we are led by the proletarian regime and atheist, we have certain restrictions and management on religious activities. Foundations must be managed by the state, and individuals and groups cannot set up their own. They must belong to a national system. Therefore, religious groups do not have independent fund accounts, but religious groups (including Buddhism) have the right to raise funds by themselves.
