How to get credits for continuing education?
Continuing education credits are one of the conditions for evaluating the qualifications of medical practitioners, which will be used in future promotion and related to the registration of qualification certificates.

Continuing medical education activities implement the credit system, and the credits are divided into two categories according to the nature of the activities: Class I credits and Class II credits.

A kind of credit acquisition

Projects approved by the Committee of Continuing Medical Education of the Ministry of Health; All provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government continue to tackle the projects approved by the Medical Education Committee or organized by the gratis units; Projects organized by colleges and universities affiliated to the Ministry of Health, directly affiliated units and the Chinese Medical Association and specially filed with the Medical Education Committee of the Ministry of Health.

Secondary credit acquisition

Self-study and other forms of continuing medical education activities.

Credit requirements

Health technicians with intermediate or above professional and technical positions should participate in continuing medical education activities and get 25 credits every year, including 5 to 10 credits for Class I and 5 to 20 credits for Class II. Medical staff in hospitals of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government shall receive 5 to 10 credits from national projects within 5 years.
