There are two normal universities in Guangdong Province: Lingnan Normal University, Zhaoqing University, Guangdong Second Normal University and Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University.

First, Lingnan Teachers College

Its predecessor can be traced back to Hanshan Academy, which was established in the 5th year of Song Dynasty (1090) to commemorate Han Yu, a great writer in Tang Dynasty.

Third, Guangdong Second Normal University

Guangdong Second Normal University, located in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, is an ordinary undergraduate college in Guangdong Province. Guangdong Second Normal University was formerly the Guangdong Institute of Education Administration founded by 1955, and was closed by 1970. Its main body was decentralized to Xinxing County, Zhaoqing, and Zhaoqing Normal School and Zhaoqing Normal College were established successively: 1978 resumed classes.
