The Development of Education in Nanning
2006-20 10 is a new development stage of building a well-off society in an all-round way and accelerating socialist modernization in Nanning, and it is also the foundation stone for Nanning to realize educational modernization. The construction of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area and Pan-Pearl River Delta regional cooperation platform provides good development opportunities for education. Facing the new situation, we should have new ideas in educational development, new breakthroughs in educational reform and new measures in educational work. In order to further accelerate the leap-forward development of education in our city, according to "the State Council's Decision on the Reform and Development of Basic Education" and "Nanning Municipal People's Government's Decision on Accelerating the Development of Education", our bureau has formulated this plan on the basis of earnestly summing up the experience of the Tenth Five-Year Plan. I. Implementation of the Tenth Five-Year Plan Since the Tenth Five-Year Plan, under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping Theory, our bureau has continuously deepened education reform, comprehensively promoted quality education and further developed education in accordance with the development idea of "changing concepts, improving quality, grasping reform, promoting development and seeking standardization" and achieved remarkable results. (1) The popularization level of nine-year compulsory education has been continuously improved. In 2005, the number of primary school students in our city was 562,500, 867 per 10,000 population, 3 1.74 million junior high school students and 489 per 10,000 population. The dropout rates of primary school and junior high school are 0.03% and 1.20% respectively, which are both lower than the targets set by the tenth five-year plan of our city (lower than 0.5% for primary school and lower than 3% for junior high school). The gross enrollment rate of school-age children is 104.86%, the primary school graduation rate is 100%, and the junior high school enrollment rate is 98.37%. The junior high school graduation rate is 64.2%, with a large gap between urban and rural areas, with more than 90% in urban areas and less than 50% in counties (towns); The "two basics" in Mashan and Longan counties have been implemented in a planned and step-by-step manner, and significant progress has been made. On June 19, 2005, Longan County successfully passed the "two basics" acceptance of the autonomous region government and has been reported to the Ministry of Education for approval. Mashan county also passed the evaluation and acceptance of the Education Supervision Team of the People's Government of the Autonomous Region on1October 24-27, 65438. The city basically achieved the goal of popularizing nine-year compulsory education and basically eliminating illiteracy among young people two years ahead of schedule. The further development of high school education. In 2005, there were a total of high schools 12 1 in the city, including 88 ordinary high schools with students 107500 and 5762 teachers. There are 33 vocational high schools with students 19900 and teachers 1 183. The average number of high school students per ten thousand population is 196. There are 18 model ordinary high schools in the autonomous region, accounting for16 of the total number of model ordinary high schools in the region, including No.2 Middle School, No.3 Middle School, No.36 Middle School, Wuming High School, Hengxian Middle School, No.8 Middle School, No.14 Middle School, Nanning Peihong Ethnic Middle School, Nanning Foreign Language School, binyang middle school, Yongning High School, No.1 Middle School, No.33 Middle School and No.11 Middle School. At the same time, the whole city Ordinary high schools in urban areas generally offer "research-oriented" learning courses, and have achieved phased results, initially formed experience, and steadily improved the quality of high school education and teaching. In 2005, there was a bumper harvest in the college entrance examination, and the undergraduate online rate and the proportion of top students in arts and sciences were among the best in the whole region. (3) Preschool education and special education develop healthily. At present, the enrollment rate of preschool children in urban areas of our city is 98%, but preschool education in rural areas is seriously lagging behind. There are 56 1 10,000 students in kindergartens and 64,700 students in preschool education in primary schools. The enrollment rate of preschool children is only about 55%, which is far from the goal of the Tenth Five-Year Plan. In recent years, our city has attached great importance to the development of special education. In 2005, there were 7 special education schools with 59/kloc-0 students. In addition, there are 1285 special education students scattered in various schools, and the enrollment rate of blind, deaf and disabled children is 83. 1%. As the resource center of blind education in the whole region, the school for the blind and deaf in our city is playing a demonstration and radiation function; Autism correction training in Shierkang mentally retarded school has achieved initial results, and its influence has reached southwest China. (4) Vocational education and adult education continued to maintain a strong momentum of development. The secondary vocational education in our city has achieved remarkable results by adjusting the school layout and specialty setting and deepening the "three reforms" of school-running mode, teaching management mode, teaching mode and curriculum structure. From 200/kloc-0 to 2005, all vocational middle schools in the city exceeded the annual enrollment task; Each public school has formed 2-3 relatively stable and distinctive backbone majors, and the quality and efficiency of running schools have been greatly improved. By 2005, there were 34 vocational middle schools in the city with 20,400 students (including 525 vocational junior high schools). The city's rural adult culture and technology schools carry out flexible and diverse education and training activities, training farmers more than 500,000 times a year.
