Chengde No.2 Middle School was founded in 1950. When the school was founded, it was called "Jehol Province Workers and Peasants Accelerated Middle School". 1956, Jehol Province was revoked, and the school was renamed as "Chengde Workers and Peasants Accelerated Middle School in Hebei Province". 197 1 end, renamed "Chengde No.2 Middle School", 65438.

In the summer of 2007, the municipal government officially delivered the South Campus of Tourism College to No.2 Middle School for use, with a total campus area of 60 mu. In April 2009, the municipal government agreed that Chengde No.2 Middle School would move into the original campus of Chengde Petroleum College. Foreign language college entrance examination scores have been in the forefront of middle schools in the city.
