South China Normal University is located at No.55, Zhongshan Avenue West, Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. It is a university jointly established by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education. It has been selected into the national double-class world-class discipline construction university, the first batch of national 2 1 1 key construction universities, the national 1 1 plan and the excellent teacher training plan.

South China Normal University was founded in 1933, and its predecessor was Teachers College of Li Qin University. 1entered the ranks of national "21project" key construction universities in 1996, became a university jointly established by Guangdong Provincial People's Government and Ministry of Education in 20 15, entered the ranks of high-level universities in Guangdong Province in the same year, and entered the ranks of national "world-class disciplines" in 20 17.
