Established in 1993, Hangzhou Greentown Yuhua School is a key middle school in Zhejiang Province, which is famous for its excellent school spirit, style of study and superb environment. It is also the only purely private school directly under the municipal government in Hangzhou. In recent years, it has been named as "Elite Education Base of Young Eagle Program of Zhejiang University", "Experimental Research Base of Key Topics in the Tenth Five-Year Plan of National Education and Scientific Research", "Excellent Private Schools in Zhejiang Province" and "Top 100 Private Education Schools in China". In 2004, Hangzhou Greentown Yuhua Education Group was established with the school as the "leader" and became one of the five famous schools in Hangzhou.
