First, the value pursuit of children's philosophy education
Education has multiple functions and multiple value pursuits. Judging from the multiple values of education to personal development, moral education, intellectual education, physical education, aesthetic education and labor education are the most discussed in public pedagogy in China. As for the relationship between philosophy education and "five educations", or the position of philosophy education in the "five educations" and its special value for children's growth, there is still a lack of systematic and sufficient demonstration. As we all know, the core value of moral education lies in moral education, intellectual education lies in intellectual education, and physical education, aesthetic education and labor education lies in cultivating correct labor concepts and various labor skills. Moreover, it is precisely because every child needs all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor that the school will make active efforts in the "five educations".
In addition, it is precisely because every child needs to know some science, learn some literature and master some mathematics that the school will invest a lot of manpower and material resources in science education, literature education and mathematics education in the basic education stage. On the other hand, in China's current basic education curriculum plan, some teachers teach students science, literature and mathematics, while others teach students politics, history and geography. Every subject in the course has gained a recognized legal status at the policy, theoretical and practical levels. But it is a pity that philosophy has not received due attention, whether as a recognized subject course or as a part of educational content, and the relevant practical exploration and theoretical research are still unsatisfactory. In view of the present situation of children's philosophy education in China, we need to seriously consider the following questions: Why must children's philosophy education be carried out in primary and secondary schools? What is the value of children's philosophy education? How do primary and middle school students develop well in philosophy? How can we get philosophical enlightenment that will benefit us all our lives?
In fact, from a global perspective, after nearly 50 years of continuous exploration, children's philosophy education has achieved fruitful results in many countries, and its practical value has also been widely recognized and spread. Generally speaking, the fundamental purpose of children's philosophy education is to satisfy children's curiosity and thirst for knowledge, cultivate children's problem consciousness and skepticism, and let children have an open mind and an open mind, thus improving children's value judgment and independent innovation ability. Judging from the overall situation of children's philosophy education in China, there are generally three value orientations at present: first, thinking training; The second is cultural edification; The third is to seek wisdom. Moreover, research shows that its practical value to individuals is mainly reflected in three aspects: first, it can improve children's self-esteem, self-confidence and cognitive ability; Second, it can improve children's reasoning ability, critical ability and expressive ability in dialogue; Third, it can improve children's attention, self-control and communication skills. As far as the practical effect of Chinese and foreign children's philosophy education is concerned, it can really protect children's philosophical nature of thinking, learning and asking questions, improve children's philosophical literacy and lay the foundation for their future philosophical life. Based on the above understanding, in order to better publicize and promote the education of children philosophers in primary and secondary schools, it is necessary to further sort out and explain its core value orientation from the basic form of activities.
