The combination of education and productive labor has always been a basic education policy that our country adheres to and emphasizes. The Outline of the National Medium and Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan (20 10-2020) clearly stated that "education and teaching should be combined with productive labor and social practice".
Therefore, colleges and universities should strengthen labor education, insist on self-cultivation, intelligence enhancement, physical fitness, aesthetic education and innovation through labor, and regard labor education as the basic guarantee for college students to shape a sound personality, temper their tenacious will and temper their noble character.
As a fundamental measure to enhance students' labor consciousness, cultivate students' labor concept, enhance students' labor ability and stimulate students' labor enthusiasm, it is the core link to build a college education system with all-round development of morality, intelligence, beauty and labor, and to train qualified builders and reliable successors of socialism.
The "Guiding Outline" stipulates in terms of labor education in ordinary colleges and universities
Combined with the actual situation of ordinary colleges and universities, the guiding outline emphasizes three requirements:
First, clarify the key points, strengthen the education of Marxist labor concept, focus on innovation and entrepreneurship, carry out productive labor and service labor in combination with disciplines and majors, accumulate professional experience, and cultivate creative labor ability and honest and trustworthy legal labor consciousness.
The second is to clarify the carrier and the main courses. Among them, the compulsory course of labor education in undergraduate stage is not less than 32 hours, which clearly stipulates the labor matters and time in students' daily life and organizes labor week or labor month.
Third, strengthen services, strengthen the training of labor education teachers, and offer labor education-related majors in qualified universities.
