The academic evaluation organized by the Academic Degree and Postgraduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as the Academic Degree Center) is an overall level evaluation of the first-level disciplines with postgraduate training and degree-granting qualifications according to the academic division of labor in the Catalogue of Degree and Talent Training promulgated by the the State Council Academic Degrees Committee and the Ministry of Education.
The project evaluation lasted for one year. According to the principle of voluntary application to participate in the evaluation, objective evaluation and subjective evaluation are combined. The required data include public data published by relevant government departments and social organizations and materials submitted by participating units. Through the publicity and verification of relevant data, subject experts, government departments and business people are invited to make subjective evaluation, and the final evaluation results are formed on this basis.
The purpose of publishing the evaluation results is to provide objective information for the participating units to understand the current situation of the discipline, promote the construction of the connotation of the discipline, and improve the quality of postgraduate training and degree awarding; Provide reference for students to choose disciplines and majors; At the same time, it is also convenient for all sectors of society to understand the discipline construction of schools and scientific research institutions.
The subject catalogue is applicable to the awarding of bachelor's, master's and doctor's degrees and personnel training, and is also used for discipline construction and educational statistical classification, which plays a guiding role and normative function in personnel training and discipline construction. The subject catalogue is divided into three levels: subject category, first-class subject (called "specialty" in undergraduate education) and two disciplines (called "specialty" in undergraduate specialty catalogue).
