In 2008, in order to meet the requirements of the internationalization development of universities and improve the internationalization level of school education, the Party Committee and the administrative department of the school sized up the situation and established the Institute of International Education, which is co-located with the Foreign Affairs Office (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Office).

The college has always adhered to the open cooperation strategy of "aiming at the forefront of the development and reform of higher medical education in the world, actively carrying out international exchanges and cooperation at multiple levels and in a wide range, and striving to build a school-running system that pays equal attention to domestic and international openness" and the school-running goal of "actively and steadily developing education for international students and improving the training level of international students", and constantly explores an education system for international students in China that is suitable for our school.

In 2009, the school recruited foreign students majoring in stomatology and clinical medicine who came to China to teach Chinese at their own expense for the first time. From 20 10, self-funded international students (MBBS courses) with six-year English-taught undergraduate education for clinical medicine majors are enrolled, with about 60 students in each session. From 20 12, in order to ensure the quantity and quality of students, the spring and autumn enrollment mode was started. 20 13 September, the College received the reply from the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, authorizing Anhui Medical University to undertake the training of international students studying in China with the China government scholarship.

By the end of 2065438+June 2007, there were 407 international students from 42 countries and regions, including 25 China government scholarship students and 0/38 Anhui foreign student scholarship students. It has become the university with the largest number of international students in China in Anhui Province, covering three training levels: undergraduate, master and doctor. At present, the school has nearly 100 undergraduate and doctoral graduates.
