Educational reform in China.
During thousands of years' development, China's higher education experienced four major changes: the rise of private schools in the pre-Qin period, the establishment of imperial academy in the Western Han Dynasty, the establishment of academies in the Northern Song Dynasty and the birth of modern universities in the late Qing Dynasty. Through careful analysis of the causes, processes and results of these four changes, some enlightenment to China's current higher education reform is put forward.
