Qiu Jin is a member of the Guangfu Association.
The Guangfu Association is a famous revolutionary group in the late Qing Dynasty, also known as the Retro Association. /kloc-in the winter of 0/903 (the 29th year of Guangxu), Jiang Zungui, Tao, Gong Baoquan and others were brewing negotiations in Tokyo. At the beginning of the following year, Tao and Wei returned to Shanghai to discuss with Cai Yuanpei. By June of the same year, on the basis of the assassination team organized by Gong Baoquan, the Guangfu Association was formally established in Shanghai. Cai Yuanpei is the principal (Vice President Tao Wei). Headquartered in Passerby Heli, Xinzha, Shanghai, it has now moved to Baoan Road, Sanma. The platform of the association is the pledge of membership, which is to "restore the Han Dynasty, return my country to China, make our country successful, and retire after success". It advocates that assassination and riots are the main revolutionary means besides written propaganda. The Guangfu Association actively contacted communist party and instigated the new army. Its main activities are in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui and other places.

At first, there were forty or fifty members of the association. 1905, Xu Xilin joined. Later, he and Tao, Qiu Jin and others established the Datong School, and expanded the number of social members to six or seven hundred (another two hundred and seventy-two people, more than five hundred and sixty). Most members are bourgeois and petty-bourgeois intellectuals, businessmen, craftsmen and a few landlords and gentry. In addition to the above people, there are Zhang Taiyan, Qiu Jin, Zhang Gong, Xu Shunda, Zhao Sheng, Liu Yazi, Xiong and others. The association has a branch in Tokyo and Shaoxing is the activity center of its headquarters. After 1905, many members joined Zhonglian, and some members still acted independently or in the name of Guangfu Association. 1907, member Xu Xilin launched an Anqing uprising and died in failure. In the autumn of the same year, Qiu Jin responded to the Anqing Uprising in Shaoxing Datong School and was arrested and died.
