What does "Confucianism" mean?
Confucianism has two meanings: first, people who are virtuous. Yan Shigu's "Biography of Korea" said: "Anyone who has a way is called a Confucian". Secondly, Shuo Wen Jie Zi: "Confucianism, softness, also known as warlock." But the last meaning of Shuo Wen Jie Zi is widely accepted.

"Confucianism" is the so-called "scholar" today, which is a very popular name. In The Analects of Confucius, Confucius said to Xia Zi, "You are a gentleman's Confucianism, not a villain's Confucianism". It can be seen that only knowledgeable and talented people at that time called it "Confucianism", including gentlemen and villains. "Confucianism" originally refers to the master of ceremonies at weddings.

The word "Confucianism" is a respectful name for scholars in ancient times, which means "elegance", "precision" and "harmony". From "people" to "needs", it means that one's own ideological knowledge can stabilize others, convince others and be needed by others. Since the Spring and Autumn Period, Warring States Period, Qin and Han Dynasties, Confucianism refers to the ideological system with benevolence as the core founded by Confucius.
