Jintang Middle School in Sichuan Province was founded in 1928, covering an area of 180 mu. In the early days of the school, Comrade Zhao Juntao, an outstanding proletarian revolutionary fighter, a pioneer of women's revolution, the founder of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Europe and a famous educator, served as the discipline director of the school, leaving valuable educational ideas and exemplary demeanor for the school.

School 1997 was officially named as a provincial key middle school. In July, 2002, it was recognized by the Provincial Department of Education as the first batch of "Model Ordinary High Schools in Sichuan Province".
