The shape and structure of Sattar
Sattar, a traditional folk musical instrument, is very similar to the Uygur stringed instrument in shape, looks like a water ladle with a long handle, and is a Sang Mu with a total length of 130 cm ~ 148 cm (figure). The resonance box is ladle-shaped, made of a whole piece of mulberry wood. After the abdominal cavity is cut open, it is covered with mulberry wood chips, and the upper part of the panel is provided with sound holes. The piano is a long semi-circular cylinder with a piano head at the top and a flat top without decoration. There are nine to seventeen T-strings on the front and left, and there is a mountain pass below. In front of the piano is a fingerboard with eighteen strings wrapped around it, and some of them are equipped with high-pitched grades on the panel. There is a long wooden bridge in the center of the lower part of the panel. Zhang has nine to seventeen metal strings, of which the first outer string on the right is the main string, made of copper string, and the rest are steel wire resonance strings, and the lower ends of the strings are tied to the tailstock. Bow is made of wood, with ponytail hair, similar to a violin bow.
