In today's society, there are many new teaching methods and educational ideas in the field of education. Some of these new teaching methods are highly praised and recognized, such as cooperative learning, problem-oriented learning and project-based learning. But there are also some puzzling teaching methods, the most typical of which is that parents give students resource classes. Besides, there are some other teaching methods that I can't understand at all.
First of all, parents give students a resource class, which blurs the boundaries between family and education. The role of parents should be to provide support and care for their children in daily life and provide them with a safe environment and care.
However, when parents began to teach their children instead of teachers, this boundary was broken. Parents have no professional knowledge and teaching experience in education, and their understanding and methods of education may not be as good as those of professional teachers. This teaching method may bring wrong knowledge and misleading to children, and make them form the bad habit of relying on others from an early age.
Secondly, I am also confused about all-weather study. All-weather learning refers to continuous learning activities within 24 hours, whether in school, family or social occasions.
It is considered that this teaching method is an infringement on students' physical and mental health. Students need enough time for rest, entertainment and self-development. Excessive study burden will lead to depression, increased stress and even affect health. In addition, all-weather study also hinders the interaction between students and their peers and family members, and loses the opportunity to cultivate social skills.
Third, I am confused about the classroom arrangement outside the specialized courses. In some schools, besides daily study and courses, there are various extracurricular cram schools and extracurricular training classes.
This kind of education makes students have no time to develop themselves and explore their interests. They are arranged with full courses and have no time to pursue their hobbies. This kind of cramming education ignores students' subjectivity and creativity, and only pays attention to instilling knowledge and improving test scores.
