Xinya College is a college of arts and sciences specially established in Tsinghua to explore the reform and innovation of undergraduate education. It pursues liberal arts education, that is, general education. Students will take both liberal arts and science. They will spend a year studying basic courses covering art, humanities, natural sciences and social sciences, and then choose their majors according to their own wishes.
Xinya College is a residential college of arts and sciences specially established in Tsinghua University on October 20-October 4 to explore the reform and innovation of undergraduate education. 20 16 officially enrolled students nationwide. Courses are divided into general education and professional education. According to the credit system management, the flexible period of four to five years is implemented. According to the study direction of students' major, they are finally awarded bachelor's degrees in literature, science, engineering, law and art.
The college has established academic ties with many world-class universities and liberal arts colleges. From the summer of the first academic year, students are selected to go to world-class universities and famous schools, such as Oxford University, Cambridge University, London School of Economics and Political Science, Harvard University, Princeton University and Columbia University for exchange study, scientific research training and professional internship.
