Hebei Agricultural University is a provincial key university jointly established by Hebei Provincial People's Government, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and State Forestry and Grassland Bureau.

The school was selected into the first batch of "Excellent Agricultural and Forestry Talents Education and Training Plan" and "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan", which is the "Basic Capacity Building Project of Universities in the Central and Western Regions" of the Ministry of Education and the "Double First-class" universities in Hebei Province.

The predecessor of Hebei Agricultural University was Zhili Agricultural School, which was founded in the 28th year of Guangxu (1902). 19 12 changed to zhili public agricultural college; 192 1 year, Zhili public agricultural specialized school and medical college merged with law, law and politics and higher normal schools to form Hebei University.

193 1 year, Hebei University was dissolved and Hebei Agricultural College became independent. 1958 Hebei Agricultural College was renamed as Hebei Agricultural University; 1995 merged with the former Hebei Forestry College to form a new Hebei Agricultural University.

From the end of June, 5438 to February, 2022, the school has five campuses, namely Baoding, Bohai New Area, Cangzhou, Qinhuangdao and Dingzhou, covering an area of 2,765 mu, with a building area of 1.24 1 10,000 square meters.

At present, there are 3 1 college (department), 96 undergraduate majors, 8 post-doctoral research stations, 1/first-class doctoral programs,1professional doctoral programs, 24 first-class master programs, and 12 professional master programs.

In-service teachers are 3 1, 7 1, of which full-time teachers are 2 1, and the three disciplines are in the top of ESI global rankings1%; There are about 33,000 full-time undergraduates and 5,366 full-time master's and doctoral students.
