Shenzhen Nanshan District Education Bureau is one of the "Advanced Zone of Education Modernization in Guangdong Province", "Experimental Zone of Education Informatization Promoting Balanced Development of Compulsory Education in Guangdong Province" and the first batch of "Regional Experimental Zones of Education Informatization in Ministry of Education", and it has been at the forefront of the country in terms of education modernization and education informatization.

There are 7 148 primary and secondary school teachers in the whole region, including 5658 teachers in public schools and 1490 teachers in private schools. There are 200 teachers and staff in public kindergartens and 4985 in private kindergartens. Nanshan District has actively implemented the strategy of "talent pool". The academic structure of teachers has always been junior college and middle school undergraduate, and a number of outstanding teachers who are well-known throughout the country have emerged. There are 58 special-grade teachers, 208 academic leaders at or above the municipal level, 524 graduate students or above, and 872 teachers with deputy senior titles.
