Suzhou University
Suzhou University is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, a national "double-class" university, the first batch of selected universities in the national "2 1 1 project" and "201/plan", and a key comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province.
Soochow University, formerly known as 1900, is the first university in China to establish a modern university discipline system. It is the first university in China to establish a journal, and the first university in China to carry out professional education and postgraduate education in law (Anglo-American law). Later, it was merged and renamed, and the school was renamed Suzhou University until 1982.
The school has four campuses, namely Tianci Zhuang Campus, Dushu Lake Campus, Yangcheng Lake Campus and Future Campus, covering an area of 4,586 mu and a building area of 1.66 million square meters. There are 5,847 faculty members and 33 full-time teachers19.

Suzhou University of Science and Technology
Suzhou University of Science and Technology is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province. Its predecessor, Suzhou Institute of Science and Technology, was formed by the merger of the former Suzhou Institute of Urban Construction and Environmental Protection and the former Suzhou Railway Teachers College in September, 20001year.
The former Suzhou Institute of Urban Construction and Environmental Protection was established in 1983 directly under the Ministry of Construction (the former Suzhou Institute of Architecture and Engineering was established in 1953). Suzhou Railway Teachers College was established in 1980 (Suzhou Railway Middle School was established in 195 1). On March 20 16, the school was renamed Suzhou University of Science and Technology.
The school is located in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, with three campuses: Shihu, Jiangfeng and Tianping. The main campus Shihu Campus is adjacent to Shihu, covering an area of 2,300 mu. The school has more than 600 full-time teachers/kloc-0, and more than 700 senior professional and technical teachers.
Among 64 undergraduate majors, 19 was selected as the national first-class undergraduate major construction site; 20 majors were selected into the brand specialty construction project of Jiangsu universities; Nine majors have passed the professional evaluation (certification) of colleges and universities, the professional certification of engineering education and the secondary certification of teachers.
Changshu institute of technology
Changshu Institute of Technology is a full-time undergraduate college in Jiangsu Province. Its predecessor was Suzhou Normal University founded by 1958 and Changshu Vocational University founded by 1984. The two universities merged into Changshu College on 1989. 200 1 Jiangsu population school was merged.
On May 2, 2004, approved by the Ministry of Education, Changshu Institute of Technology was established on the basis of Changshu College. At present, it is the first batch of pilot universities in the new round of undergraduate teaching qualification assessment organized by the Ministry of Education, the pilot universities in the national education system reform, and the pilot universities in the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" organized by the Ministry of Education.
