What is the purpose of the military theory course?

Through the course of military theory, we will strengthen college students' awareness of national defense and national security, patriotism and collectivism, establish the overall concept of national security, and lay the foundation for the country to train high-quality reserve talents.

National defense education-"Military Theory" is a compulsory course for undergraduate and junior college students in colleges and universities, and it is also a large-scale basic course. This course is offered according to the basic requirements of China's military service law, national defense law, national defense education law and other laws. The course has a total of 32 hours, 2 credits, 16 weeks, 2 hours per week.

Through the course of military theory, we will strengthen college students' awareness of national defense and national security, patriotism and collectivism, establish the overall concept of national security, and lay the foundation for the country to train high-quality reserve talents. The content framework of this course is designed according to the "Military Curriculum Syllabus of General Colleges and Universities" issued by the Ministry of Education, the General Staff Department and the General Political Department (No.1 [2007]1), and it is divided into five parts and chapters 16.

The first part (chapter 1-3) is about China's national defense. Enable college students to master the concepts and laws of national defense education and deeply understand the connotation and extension of modern national defense.
