National defense education-"Military Theory" is a compulsory course for undergraduate and junior college students in colleges and universities, and it is also a large-scale basic course. This course is offered according to the basic requirements of China's military service law, national defense law, national defense education law and other laws. The course has a total of 32 hours, 2 credits, 16 weeks, 2 hours per week.

The content framework of this course is designed according to the "Military Curriculum Syllabus of General Colleges and Universities" issued by the Ministry of Education, the General Staff Department and the General Political Department (No.1 [2007]1), and it is divided into five parts and chapters 16.
The first part (chapter 1-3) is about China's national defense. Enable college students to master the concepts and laws of national defense education and deeply understand the connotation and extension of modern national defense. The second part (Chapter 4-5) is the international strategic environment. Enable college students to accurately analyze the international strategic pattern and the security situation around China. The third part (Chapters 6-7) is military thought.
Make college students understand the long-standing, profound development history and characteristics of China's military thought, and master the concept and content of Mao Zedong's military thought. The fourth part (Chapter 8-15), military high technology. Make college students understand the relationship between the military and the development of science and technology, the great influence of science and technology on national defense, and establish a sense of responsibility and urgency to fight for national defense science and technology. ?
