Why do parents nowadays like to educate their children by intimidation?
Intimidation, as a way of educating children, is a severe means. Perhaps some parents adopt this method because they think it can quickly correct their children's wrong behavior or produce fear, so as to achieve the desired effect. However, in the long run, this method may have some negative effects.

First of all, intimidation will make children feel depressed, afraid or anxious, and may even lower their self-esteem. Children may resist, escape or hide, instead of really understanding and correcting their mistakes.

Secondly, intimidation emphasizes power and punishment, rather than helping children understand the consequences and moral values of behavior. This may cause children to change their behavior just to escape punishment, not for internal moral considerations.

Finally, intimidation may affect the quality of parent-child relationship. Children may be afraid and disgusted with threatening their parents, which leads to tension and alienation between parents and children.

On the contrary, positive parent-child relationship and education based on respect and understanding are more conducive to cultivating children's sense of responsibility, self-discipline and positive behavior. Working out rules and expectations with children, giving appropriate guidance and encouragement, setting an example, and encouraging them to participate in decision-making and solving problems can help children establish internal values and moral concepts.

It should be emphasized that educating children is a complicated task, and different parents may have different educational methods and concepts. The most important thing is to establish an open communication and mutual respect relationship between children and parents, and provide a safe, caring and positive educational environment as much as possible, which will help children grow up healthily.
