The fact is, children and careers can't be compared at all, and there is no need to compare them. Not an order of magnitude at all. The quality of a dress can be good or bad, and the function of a mobile phone can be good or bad. Children and careers are as indispensable as our hands and feet, and nothing is more important.
So why would anyone ask such a question? I think it's because they haven't figured out what children and careers really mean.
For us in China, raising children is still in the instinctive stage. It's natural to get married and have children. Just as farmers learn to farm, people do what they do. Therefore, many parents are undocumented. The old man often says, "If you have children, you will naturally become mature and know how to take care of your family."
However, in the face of the great mission of raising a new life, shouldn't we consider it after we can at least grow, mature and take responsibility without training? And many young parents rely on weak children to awaken their maturity, which is unfair to children.
The positive solution is: before you have a child, please have the ability to raise the child, have the confidence to take care of him, and don't ignore him under any pretext.
Even if you are not ready before the baby arrives, please grow up with him, and don't deceive yourself with "I have my own career" casually. How many "widowed" parenting families in China have such a father who uses "career" as an excuse? Sounds good on the surface, but in fact he is a grandiose and irresponsible person.
