QS World University Ranking is an annual world university ranking published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS for short), a British international education market consulting company.

QS Company initially cooperated with Times Higher Education (THE) to jointly launch the -QS World University Ranking, which was first released in 2004 and is an earlier global university ranking. Since 20 10, QS and QQ have terminated their cooperation and started to publish their respective world university rankings. QS Global Education Group generally updates its ranking every summer.

QS World University Ranking 20 10 is recognized by the IREG- International Academic Ranking and Excellence Association established by the International University Ranking Expert Group (IREG), and it is one of the most influential rankings in the world. Together with Times Higher Education World University Ranking, American News World University Ranking and World University Soft Science Academic Ranking, it is recognized as the four more authoritative world university rankings.

Introduction to ranking

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS, Chinese name Quacquarelli Symonds Company) was established in 1990. The founder and president of the company is Nunzio Quacquarelli, and its headquarters is in London, England.

He published a lot of information about the world university rankings. QS was entrusted by The Times Higher Education Supplement from 2004 to 2009 to collect the world university ranking data and jointly publish the -QS world university ranking.

From 20 10, the cooperation between Times Higher Education Supplement and QS Company was terminated. The former cooperated with Thomson Reuters, and the ranking was renamed as Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The latter launched its own annual world university ranking, namely QS World University Ranking.
