Huizhou No.1 Middle School was established in 1929, which was formed by the merger of Huiyang No.1 Middle School, Huiyangshan Middle School, Pingping Middle School and Wenming Middle School. The school was named Huiyang No.1 Middle School, Huiyang No.1 Middle School and Huizhou Middle School successively. Since 1965, it has been called Huizhou No.1 Middle School ever since.
