History of Santai Middle School
1905, Tongchuan High School was founded. 19 13, a village and county in Fu Ba. The name of the school was changed to "Tongchuan United County Middle School" (for nine counties). 1927 was renamed "Union County Senior Middle School" (referred to as Tong Middle School). 1938, Northeastern University moved from Xi 'an to Santai, borrowed the Taichung school building, and Zang Qifang became the president. 1940 was renamed as "Santai Senior High School in Sichuan Province" (referred to as provincial high school). /kloc-in the summer of 0/946, the school building left by Northeastern University was used by the newly-built North Sichuan University (namely North Sichuan College of Agriculture and Industry). /kloc-in the summer of 0/950, North Sichuan University (now Sichuan Normal University and Xihua Normal University) moved to Nanchong. 1952, the school was renamed "Sichuan No.3 Middle School" (referred to as Taichung). 1982 was identified as the first batch of key middle schools in Sichuan province. In 2002, it successfully passed the evaluation and acceptance of national model high schools and became one of the five national model high schools in Mianyang. In 2005, Santai Middle School held a grand centenary celebration. In 2003 and 2004, among the 50 "national heavyweight enterprises" in Sichuan Province, they ranked sixth and fourth respectively.
