Learn to accept everything the world has given you, but choose the essence from the rough and discard the false. Some things can't really help you and must be removed. Master, I hope you don't go the wrong way. You should start with the basics of positive energy. You should believe that with wisdom and determination, you can live a normal life. In other words, to be a person, you must be able to settle down and have some wisdom to be like an individual. At first glance, Master's words seem harsh, but they are not harsh at all. Think about it. If someone slandered you, like your husband came back, where did you go? Obviously, you didn't go anywhere, and you felt wronged. You jumped up at once, were you distracted? You ruined your basic life.
No matter what you do, if you don't use your head, you will lose your wisdom. How can you live a normal life at home without wisdom? If you can understand your husband, you are wise. If your husband can understand you, he is also wise. If you can understand your child, you can teach and help him. If you abuse him unreasonably, attack and satirize him, or even blame the child irrelevantly, in fact, you can't live a normal life, and the family will quarrel all day. In other words, people should be wise and determined, so that you can live a peaceful life on the earth and not regret the short trip.
In Taiwan Province, a child is too young to understand. His father left a thousand dollars on the table, and the child didn't know where it was. When his father came home, he found the thousand dollars missing, but he couldn't find it. As a result, he found it in the child's clothes pocket. The child is about to defend himself. His father was so angry that he slapped the child's eardrum and became deaf, which became a lifelong regret. Why is this happening? Because dad can't decide. No matter what happens at home, settle down alone and don't worry.
What is wisdom? Once upon a time, there was a very rich man who went to find a very smart man and wanted to buy some wisdom to go home. A wise man preaches his wisdom, but doesn't want his money. Wisdom is counting "one two three four five six seven eight nine Ten" forward and "one two three four five six seven eight nine Ten" backward, and then you do it. This man said that wisdom is so simple. He returned home in the country, just got on the kang, saw two pairs of shoes by the bed, and thought, how can an old woman have two pairs of shoes by herself? He vaguely saw his wife sleeping with another person and picked up a knife to rush up. After a while, he thought, it is wise to take ten steps forward and ten steps back. The sound of his walking woke up his wife. Who did the wife say? He said it was himself. He asked his wife who else was in bed. The wife said it was his own sister. Because he was away on business for several days, her sister came to accompany her sister-in-law. Wisdom will be born, and this is wisdom. It should be decided by people so that tragedy can be avoided.
If a person jumps at something and makes a decision at once, it is easy to regret it. Therefore, don't leave regrets for yourself, want to live a stable life, just eat and use simply, and don't expect anything else. Without concentration, even this basic stable life can't go on, and it will be in trouble. Many people say that I have let my husband do whatever he wants. I never argue with him. I never argue with him. He still bullied me like this. If you put focus and wisdom on it, you won't have this idea. You have to be stable, he won't make you stable, you have karma, but as long as you have determination, he scolds you, he says you are not good, you can persist, ignore him and you. What will he do to you? As soon as you use your wisdom, tell a joke and use your brain to find ways to ease it, your family will be complete. Don't think that I can feel at ease by eating so little and being so kind to you. If I want to be safe, I need concentration and wisdom.
What Master is telling you now is concentration and wisdom. If you want to learn better, you must let the seeds of wisdom and Zen grow in your heart. Today, you sit below. Think about your hot personality before you came to guanyin temple. You either take the train or stop to find a parking space, which is very annoying. But while you were sitting in Kannonji, Master was practicing your meditation. Father told you not to think about anything now, like a bodhisattva. Master told you to forget all the things that just happened and the past, so that you wouldn't worry. Just as you settle down now, you will cultivate your mind. You don't think about anything now. Isn't that wisdom? Because you don't want to really stall like a car, this is to get a real rest.
If you sit here today, your brain is still spinning. It's like a car parked on the side of the road and seeing that it's not running, but in fact its engine is still starting. Such a car will soon break down. Many people are busy during the day and dream at night, and their brains never stop, so their hair turns white soon. Master has seen too many rich people, either with gray hair or looking much older than their actual age. This is because their car keeps driving. Meditation is for you to settle down. Can we fight when we settle down? Will you fight with others when you settle down? Settled people will not bring harm to others. Therefore, Master wants you to calm down and settle down, so that you can produce wisdom, and you should plant the seeds of wisdom bigger, the bigger the better.
Each of us should rid ourselves of the "six thieves". The first thief is the eyes, don't look around. If you control the thief, your heart will be stable and you won't be confused. Many men and women look with their eyes, and it is also a problem with their eyes to look at bad things on the Internet. The thief is very troublesome, and they move at first sight. Why do many women like shopping? Because this window is full of beautiful things, if you don't look at it, your heart will not move. Your heart moves with your eyes. Master sometimes takes you out to preach Buddhism and take you to the airport. Some people just like to look at things, and some people see the shopping mall as if they didn't see it. Eyes don't move, heart doesn't move. Why are the windows so beautifully dressed? Is to attract you, seduce you, your heart, your actions, and spend money. So if you don't move, you must first control your eyes. This is a thief. Men and women hate spending money, don't they all see it with their eyes? Although there are many people today. Don't you just control your eyes?
The second thief is the ear. Ear is a thief, often eavesdropping, often listening to bad words, listening to people speak ill of others is very happy. He is also happy to hear bad things about others. Thief's ear, still love to listen to dirty words, decadent voice and other people's good words, will make your heart lose its way.
The third thief is the nose, who likes to smell good, smelly and fragrant. That's how parting comes out. Think about it, if your mother is lying in bed and you change her diaper and your child's diaper, will you feel stinky? You won't feel it But if it were someone else, it would smell bad, and at this time, the heart began to separate.
Tongue is the fourth thief. This tongue is really bad. When a good man is angered by others and speaks ill of him, the whole good man becomes a villain. Think about it. How much does this tongue hurt you? What have you been hurt by this tongue since childhood? People don't do it because of the tongue, so remember that the tongue is also a thief, and bragging and lying are thieves.
Next, thieves, bodies, stealing, right? Being a man and a woman, sneaking around, right? How many bad things did the hand do? How many bad things did the foot do? How many bad things have you done?
And the last thief. This thief is the one who hides and you can't see or touch him. He is called a thief of meaning and a thief of thought. He thinks what he shouldn't think, and he shouldn't use his bad brain. He used his bad brain. This thief is worse. This thief can create countless karma. You can think of a person in your mind and do something with him. You can imagine that there is something to steal from his house. As you can imagine, I hate him very much. I can rush over and hit him. Everything is in the space you want, and greed and ignorance are in your mind. In this case, your distraction will take you to a bad place and lead you astray. In death, you will become a bad person. In the underworld, it will lead you to the other extreme, which is underground.
Many people's views on the problem are correct, but because they ate others' and took others', their thinking changed, and then they said something against their will and something they shouldn't have said, so they would miss your original kindness, that is to say, you had a very kind seed, and you gradually became worse and worse, so this "six thieves" will kill you. People often don't blame themselves and others after being hurt. They always say that others are too bad and hurt me. Think about it. Don't blame others. It is your own "six thieves" who have made you lose your true Buddha nature and treasure.
