For the first time, the Guimao school system formally brought preschool education into the national school system. The Guimao Academic System was promulgated in 1904, which is the first academic system formally implemented in China. Vertically, Gui Mao divided the whole learning process into three stages and seven grades. The first stage is primary education, which is divided into foster families for four years, primary schools for five years and higher primary schools for four years, with three grades and thirteen years. Therefore, for the first time, the Guimao school system formally brought preschool education into the national school system.
