Chongqing Fuling Vocational Education Center was formed by the merger of two provincial key vocational schools, Fuling Technical School and Fuling No.2 Vocational Middle School, in July 2000.

It is the largest secondary vocational education entity in Fuling District, which integrates vocational secondary schools, vocational high schools, mechanic education and pre-job and post-job training. Is a state-owned full-time secondary vocational school. In March of 20001,it was confirmed by Chongqing Municipal Government as a key secondary vocational school at the city (provincial) level.

In June 2009, it was officially named as a national key secondary vocational school by the Ministry of Education. The school is a training base for rural labor transfer in poverty-stricken areas in Chongqing, poverty alleviation training base in Fuling District, re-employment training base for laid-off workers in Fuling District, and immigration training base in Fuling District. The school has a national vocational skill appraisal institute and a graduate employment placement agency. Gaoxia Industrial Company, a school-run enterprise, was rated as a first-class school-run enterprise in Chongqing by Chongqing Education Commission.
