Six levels of nlp understanding
Learning and change at the logical level, from: strategy nlp Sun Mama's blog.

The use of logical hierarchy in natural language processing was borrowed by Robert Dilts from batson's work style in 1980s.

These levels include (in order from highest level to lowest level)

1, identity? 2. Beliefs and values. Beliefs and values? 3, ability 3, ability? 4. behavior 4. Behavior? 5. environment 5. environment

The highest level is "spirituality", which can be defined as a kind of "relationship field" and contains many identities. Different from personal identity, it forms a sense of belonging of members of a larger system.

For example, the computer's display screen and keyboard are the environment. Pressing the keyboard with your fingers is an act. Typing (no matter which input method you use, when you orderly input different pinyin sequences or strokes into the computer through the input method to form specific words) is an ability. Statements made up of these words are the functional embodiment of beliefs and values. All the above processes are integrated into a person who is using a computer to work or study.

In short, the environmental level refers to the specific external conditions in which behavior occurs. Behavior without any internal blueprint, plan or strategy, like knee jumping, is also like a habit and ritual. For example, if you are given a hammer, you will want to knock something with it. When you see the keyboard, you will subconsciously knock it and let it produce some new information.

On the ability level, we can choose, change and take some actions to broaden our external situation.

For example, if you use voice communication, you will bypass the environmental restriction that you can't type with a keyboard, thus broadening the use of computers in the communication field.

At the level of belief and value, we will encourage, prevent or summarize some specific strategies, plans or ways of thinking.

For example, at first you thought the computer was an indispensable tool in your life!

On the identity level, it integrates the whole belief and value system into a kind of self-consciousness. For example, I am a person who can use computers well to do modern office work!

From the overall level of concrete behavior and sensory experience, each level is more abstract, and the higher the level, the greater and wider the influence on our behavior and experience.

NLP believes that our multi-dimensional subjective experience is embodied in the form of neural circuits, which can be activated and utilized through language patterns, cognitive strategies and body interpretation clues.

For example, there are different language clues at different levels of experience, such as:

A) The language of the identity level will be "I am a …" or "He is a …" or "You are a …"

B) The language at the level of belief is usually the way of judgment, rules and causal statements, such as "If ………" "One should ……" and "We must ……"

C) The language at the ability level is explained by the following words: "understanding", "how", "I can" and "thinking"

D) Language at the behavioral level refers to specific behaviors and observable actions, such as "doing" and "acting", walking and talking.

E) Language tools at the environmental level are the features or details of the external background, such as white paper, high walls and large rooms.

Let's look at a more practical case. The following statements are different reactions to a poor math student at different levels.

A) Identity "You are a stupid person/a person with learning disabilities"

B) Belief "If you can't learn math well, then you can't learn math well at school, and your future life will be ruined"

C) Ability "You are not good at math"

D) Behavior "You did badly in this exam"

E) environment "This school is so bad that it can't teach you math at all."

Through the above examples, you can obviously find out, for example, how simple and powerful it is for you to influence yourself and others with the level of knowledge in your daily life.

For NLP learners in the traditional field, using this model can quickly find the trapped level of themselves and cases, and at the same time quickly and effectively help them and cases to establish clearer goals from the place closest to the trapped level, obtain resources, and let themselves or cases see more possibilities, so as to obtain new choices and get out of the trapped situation!

For some new NLP ideas, such as vicious NLP and Machiavelli-style NLP researchers, they will pay more attention to the level of faith and identity to influence others, such as the wicked and good people often mentioned in Bubble Science and the so-called "identity grant".

Therefore, the traditional NLP field attaches great importance to system balance, and it will also weaken the content of deliberately applying NLP knowledge to influence others!

Let's look at some practical applications of this model:

1, you can see through a person in one sentence!

Exodus: Someone told you that the people next door are noisy and can't have a good rest! So he was annoyed.

You can know that this person is trapped in the environmental level, and his behavior is: complaining; Ability: You can't have a good rest in the state of interference, you may not have good communication and persuasion skills, and you may not have the ability to dominate the environment at the same time (moving). Belief: Neighbors should consciously not disturb other people's identities when resting: unlucky people with bad neighbors or victims of torture.

When you have applied the level of understanding to proficiency, you will instantly integrate the information similar to what I analyzed above, and you can choose any level to decide how to influence each other.

This is the charm and great power of NLP, because it allows you to see important information-deep structure-which has been around you in your past lives.

2. Instantly solve the endless price disputes with customers in the sales field!

Example: customers tell you that your products are expensive!

Many sales will react mechanically and tell customers "this is the lowest price". Do you think customers will believe you? Unless he really wants to buy this product, and you are the only one selling it, or you are indeed the lowest price among similar homogeneous products, compared with customers, it is only entangled in the environmental field, and the possibility of being stuck will be high!

And if we use this model to design, it will become: "Yes, our product is not cheap, because this product is mainly designed for those who have very high requirements for the quality of life, because these people are generally successful people, and they generally tend to think that the durability and quality of a product need to reach the same stable level as their lives and careers. Of course, many struggling people also like this product, because they also attach great importance to it.

Of course, I believe that after reading the above case, you also began to try to develop a better speech model based on your own practical experience, which originated from the NLP understanding level. And I also believe that after reading this article, you will really do it like most people. When one day, you suddenly find yourself unconsciously using this model in your life, maybe you will give yourself an incentive and say: Wow! It turns out NLP is really amazing.

3. Finally, talk about the application of this model in children's education, because I am very focused on early childhood education, so I will pay special attention to this aspect.

According to the above example, I believe you have found that most of us may have inadvertently applied this model, but most of us are misusing this model, making our children and students losers.

3. Finally, talk about the application of this model in children's education, because I am very focused on early childhood education, so I will pay special attention to this aspect.

According to the above example, I believe you have found that most of us may have inadvertently applied this model, but most of us are misusing this model, making our children and students losers.

For example, many parents and teachers will tell their children:

You idiot-at this time, you are constantly giving the child an "identity"

Why are you so stupid? -at this time, you are inputting a "belief" to your child.

If you don't study hard, your future will be ruined-at this time, you are instilling a "restrictive belief" in your child, and at the same time, you have successfully combined pain with study and made an anchor for your child.

Why can't you learn well? Why can't you do it well? -you begin to directly identify the child's ability! ? With such determination, who is to blame for his poor study?

Of course, many parents and teachers will say that they will choose encouraging ways to educate their children.

For example, they will say: Wow! You are great! How clever you are! Your part-time job is a genius!

This kind of direct judgment first deprives the child of the right to experience, and at the same time, it also inputs a limited belief and recognition to the child, so the child may be divorced from the status quo, fragile and seriously lacking in resilience in his future life!
