On April 29th, the third grade office of Fuan Middle School issued a notice to carry out comprehensive quality trusteeship. To put it bluntly, students are required to go back to school to make up lessons, and the original 515-day holiday has been compressed to less than two days. This make-up class is aimed at 200 students from Grade 3 1 Class 4. Prior to this, the national government has issued the policy of "Opinions on Further Reducing the Students' Homework Burden and Off-campus Training Burden in Compulsory Education". The "double reduction" policy requires a comprehensive reduction in the total amount and duration of primary and secondary school students' homework, and off-campus training institutions are not allowed to occupy national statutory holidays, rest days and organize subject training in winter and summer vacations. However, the third-year students in Fuan Middle School have a heavy academic burden and great psychological pressure every day. During the less than two days' holiday, homework close to five days' holiday was assigned. There is no way to see the implementation of the "double reduction" policy in Fuan Middle School. I only feel that "it reduces students' holiday time" and "it reduces students' opportunities for independent study and extracurricular activities". Although it is a voluntary principle to make up classes, students have no choice at all. At that time, our junior three students were still in school, and they didn't know there was such a thing as make-up classes. It was not until they went home to browse the information of the class group that they found that their parents signed up without the consent of the students. I hope the relevant departments can handle this incident well.
