Kunming Dianchi Resort Experimental School is a public school approved by Kunming Education Bureau. It is directly managed by Kunming Dianchi National Tourism Resort Management Committee and implements nine-year compulsory education. It officially opened on September 8, 2007. The school is located in Kunming Dianchi National Tourism Resort, which is famous all over the country, adjacent to Dianchi Lake, the pearl of the plateau, with beautiful environment and smooth traffic. The school covers an area of more than 70 mu with a total construction area of 23,000 square meters. The designed school has 54 classes. There are 28 classes with more than 700 students. The school is surrounded by Yunnan Ethnic Village, Yunnan Ethnic Museum, Ethnic Sports Training Base, Ridge Park, Yuan Xiaocen Art Park, Hongta Sports Center and other valuable resources with great cultural and social values. The school has first-class advanced facilities in provinces and cities, and the digital campus invested by the resort management Committee is equipped with the only interactive whiteboard multimedia unique to provinces and cities in China. There are electronic reading room, campus TV station, excellent classroom, modern information technology education center, physical and chemical laboratory, music and dance classroom, art calligraphy classroom, voice classroom, two multi-functional lecture halls, 300-meter plastic track football field, wind and rain gymnasium and other functional rooms. The school currently has 84 faculty members who are openly recruited and selected for the whole country, and 79 full-time teachers are all undergraduate or above.
