2. Introduction of Wuhan Conservatory of Music
From 65438 to 0953, Zhongnan Conservatory of Music, established by the Music Department of Zhongnan College of Literature and Art, South China People's College of Literature and Art and Guangxi Provincial College of Art, was the starting point of Wuhan Conservatory of Music. From this, we can trace back to their respective predecessors, namely, the College of Literature of Zhongyuan University, the predecessor of Zhongnan College of Literature and Art, Wuchang College of Art taken over by 1949, and the College of Literature of Hunan University merged by 1950. Guangdong Provincial Art College, Guangzhou Municipal Art College and Hong Kong Chinese Conservatory of Music form South China People's College of Literature and Art; Guangxi Provincial Art College's predecessor, Guangxi Provincial Art Teacher Training Course, etc. Together, it constitutes the rich and diverse and profound historical background of music education in Wuhan Conservatory of Music. 1958, Central South Conservatory of Music merged with Wuhan Art Teachers College to form Hubei Art College (1972- 1978 was named "Hubei Art College"). 1985 was renamed Wuhan Conservatory of Music.

This school is one of the first conservatories in China to be awarded the master's degree. It has existing art and laws (Marxist theory? Ideological and political education) two master's degree awarding points, mainly full-time undergraduate and postgraduate education, and appropriate other types of education to meet the needs of society. At present, there are teaching units such as Composition Department, Music Department, Chinese Department, Piano Department, Orchestral Department, Vocal Department, Dance Department, Music Education Institute, Performing Arts Institute, graduate department, Ideological and Political Department, Public Basic Courses Department, Continuing Education Institute (including adult undergraduate education), affiliated middle schools and affiliated primary schools. The school's national experimental teaching demonstration center for music performance is one of the two national experimental teaching demonstration centers for music in China. Music performance, musicology and recording arts are national specialties. The school is one of the first provincial key discipline construction units in Hubei universities and one of the "humanities and social science bases" in Hubei province. The school makes full use of the key disciplines of music and dance in Hubei Province, Hubei Music Creation Collaborative Innovation Center and other disciplines, a series of artistic practice platforms such as Oriental Symphony Orchestra, Oriental Chinese Orchestra, China Chime Orchestra, Oriental Chorus and Oriental Dance Troupe, and the publishing platform of Huangzhong (one of the eight core periodicals of Chinese music in China) to innovate the talent training mechanism, improve the quality of talent training, promote cultural inheritance and innovation, and serve the country and Hubei economy and society.
