Transparent cups, magic paper balls
In the experiment of "How to keep the paper in the cup from getting wet", we use a transparent cup and a large container to let the children clearly see that the paper at the bottom of the cup remains dry. This strange phenomenon aroused children's curiosity and prompted them to explore the reasons behind it.
Ups and downs, weight is not the key.
In the "ups and downs" experiment, we provided ginkgo, coins, paper clips, cauliflower, radish, chunks and other materials for children. The experimental results were unexpected: big and heavy wood and cauliflower actually floated on the water, while light paper clips sank. Through practical operation, children gradually understand that the ups and downs of an object do not depend on its weight.
