The school inherits the excellent tradition of running a school of Yueqing Normal University, adheres to the people-oriented principle, always puts the cultivation of high-quality innovative talents in the first place, and emphasizes the display of individual characteristics on the basis of all-round development. As an experimental school of the School of Music and Fine Arts of Zhejiang Normal University, the specialized courses of the fine arts classes in senior high schools are mainly taught by the music and fine arts teachers of the original musicians, and teachers and experts from Zhejiang Normal University regularly come to the school for guidance. In 2004, the graded small class English teaching adopted in senior high school became another school-running feature of the school.
