Lead: What have you gained from reading some excellent papers? The following are reading notes of my thesis for your reference.
Reading Notes on "On Children's Education" In "On Children's Education", Montaigne contacted his personal experience in detail from all angles, which shows the importance of children's education. His father is a good teacher who teaches students in accordance with their aptitude and guides their children to read. His unique way of education is the quality education that China is vigorously advocating.
I have read it several times, and I can't help but be in awe of his advanced ideas and unique insights. I was deeply impressed by three of them.
One is to provide children with an environment for learning foreign languages from an early age. Montaigne recalled: "My father found me a German who doesn't know French, but knows a little Latin ... My father himself, as well as my mother, servants and maids, tried to talk to me in the Latin they are learning now when playing with me." Nowadays, many parents send their children abroad. Perhaps their original intention is not so, but the result is often a "combination of Chinese and western" person, which is the product of the language environment. On the basis of providing small class education, some primary schools also hire foreign teachers to teach in a pleasant and natural atmosphere, and children will certainly gain a lot.
Second, children rely too much on their parents when learning knowledge, but this is the most unacceptable. The school trains people who can be literate and martial and develop in an all-round way. Montaigne said, "Let him live in the wild and be afraid." It doesn't sound reasonable, but it's just a lucky success. See if he can live a natural and unrestrained life, don't worry.
The third point, that is, the general appeal of today's society to "oppose corporal punishment", is obviously aimed at those who teach and educate people. Don't you feel guilty at the thought of someone among the faculty yelling at students and adding fists and feet to such a tender body? No wonder Montaigne thinks that "schools are like prisons". It doesn't seem sensational, but this is France hundreds of years ago. Is the education level in China still only at that stage? Of course not. Teachers nowadays can treat students as their own children. Teachers are no longer just teaching and educating people, but also shaping students' beautiful souls. As a class teacher, I have fully realized that only by truly loving every student from the heart can we give them the best education and influence.
Montaigne's thought inspired me a lot. As long as there are appropriate educational methods and unique educational skills, successful quality education for students is not an armchair strategist. It's entirely possible. Let me try it in practice.
Yu Yongzheng: The way I teach Chinese is a disgrace. I have long heard of Mr. Yu Yongzheng's name, but only recently did I have the privilege of reading his book, Yu Yongzheng: How I Teach Chinese. "Plain writing, honest and steady work" is simply perfect for old books and people.
Every chapter of "Yu Yongzheng: How I Teach Chinese" touched my heart and left a deep impression on me, which to some extent inspired and guided my Chinese teaching. Here, I want to focus on the chapter "What should China education leave for students".
Only by thoroughly understanding what Chinese education should leave for students can Chinese teachers truly grasp the essence of Chinese teaching. So, what should China education leave for students? Teacher Yu told us that Chinese teaching is not a text, but a language! Teaching literacy, writing, reading (including reading aloud) and expression with textbooks can stimulate interest and cultivate habits. Therefore, complicated analysis and explanation are unnecessary in teaching. To maintain 3500 (literacy) and 2500 (writing ability), pay attention to reading and writing. In short, we should keep the essence of Chinese. In Chinese teaching, teachers attach great importance to reading. Second, we attach great importance to writing. Third, I especially like teaching composition. In addition, Mr. Yu also pointed out that while completing the teaching task, we should be kind to students and give them time and space to grow freely. Yes, in teaching, I hope that students can develop towards their own goals, how many words they can write, how many texts they can recite and how many points they can take. However, these are not the real meaning of growth.
Writing here, I suddenly thought, can I change my teaching method and try to break one by one? Specifically, when teaching new words, I want to concentrate the new words in each unit on one teaching; When the professor reads aloud, collect the texts of each unit and explain the reading method. I will teach one of the units in this way next time.
Keep learning, thinking and trying. I hope I can really teach Chinese one day.
