Zou Lei
Zou Lei was born in Turpan, Xinjiang, where he learned to play drums. Later, I came to Chengdu and formed the camel thorn band with my friends. After the band broke up, they joined Raytheon. Zou Lei's life has been related to music. Besides composing music, running is the source of his life in Thor. At the same time, Zou Lei is a man of few words. He speaks softly and smiles implicitly, but he is tough enough when playing drums. This is really a good character for a drummer. I have forgotten how many Raytheon performances I have seen, in the art center, in the music square, in the paradise on earth, in the Sichuan University Stadium, in the closed Raytheon bar, in the eternal pub, in the CD coffee in Beijing, and in the stone house in Chongqing. At first, you are always moved by tough music, then tough body language, then the tough live atmosphere stirred up, and finally Yu Sheng, who is still tough and constantly stimulates your motor nerves despite the end. Many memories will not disappear because of the passage of time, because after such a performance, just like the youth you have experienced, it will always be deposited in your life. Therefore, I will never forget that the lead singer Zeng Tai jumped from the stage and jumped into the crowd when he was performing in Chuangong Gymnasium. His body was caught by countless hands in the air, and then fans sent him back to the stage from many excited heads like a relay. I will never forget that in Beijing CD Cafe, they excited all kinds of original musicians in China, and the response was enthusiastic; I will never forget the crazy Friday and the deserted Saturday to Thursday in Raytheon Bar near Jiuyanqiao. The wall of Raytheon Bar, semi-old speakers, how many people's musical dreams take off from here, including the current audio toys, including the former U235. From the beginning, Thor was not necessarily just looking for music.
Then from 1998 to 2004, how many new people became old people, and Raytheon finally found an erhu player, turning traditional heavy metals into atypical heavy metals. Because Zeng Tai was absent for two years, Raytheon almost quit the original music circle in Chengdu, but in the spring of 2004, they came back with more melodies and more ridiculous lyrics. In the so-called post-new metal age, they are really atypical. It's not difficult to make a joke in a band, but it's difficult for both the band and the men to keep making jokes and never give up halfway. To prove that Raytheon's laughter nerve is developed, there is no need to listen to their music specially, because it is more through teasing to think. But if you log on to the band's forum, you will find that music is an important factor for this group of people to get together, but their tireless pursuit of comedy is also their common ground.
When I was interviewed by a famous music magazine in China recently, the question I faced was: "What do you think your music can change the world?" Their answer is: "Improve people's sense of humor, improve people's adaptability to social pressure, work pressure, family pressure, unfair distribution, soaring prices and unemployment, promote consumption, increase GDP, and drink to the rise of the nation."
And Zeng Tai's answer to the question: "Why do you want to engage in music?" Is: "I didn't engage in music? I never cause trouble. I am a married man who follows the rules. "
In fact, we all know that comedy is not self-centered, but a means. The difference between Raytheon and most original bands is that they always observe life with a smile. Even if they want to object and criticize, they can express it through humor. There are many ways to achieve their goals in this world. Laughter is a way to entertain others. The band is familiar with it now and is developing it.
