Brief introduction of the author

Du Chang was born in Yuzhou (Jixian County, Henan Province). In the third year of Yuanfeng (1080), relying on the official power of Taichang Temple, he sent Qin and Feng to Shaanxi to organize some prison business. An official of the Minister of Industry.

To annotate ...

(1) The original poem was written by Wang Jianzuo in the Tang Dynasty and supplemented according to Chronicle of Song Poetry and Jiangshanghua. The chronicle of Song Dynasty is titled Huaqing Palace. Huaqing Palace: The name of the Tang Palace, located on Lishan Mountain in Lintong County, Shaanxi Province, is the place where Tang Xuanzong and Yang Guifei often play.

② Dozens of trips: dozens of stops. In ancient times, there was a post station every other road for officials and travelers to stay.

(3) The windy and waning moon: It describes the bleak weather in the early autumn morning, just like the famous sentence "Where do you wake up tonight, the windy and waning moon in Yang Liuan" in Yulinling by Liu Yong.

Yuan Chao Pavilion: In Huaqing Palace.

⑤ Changyang: Changyang Palace, the name of Han Palace, is located in the southeast of zhouzhi county, Shaanxi Province. Several acres of poplars were planted in the palace, hence the name. Press: Tang Chaoyuan Pavilion is in the east of Chang 'an, and Han Changyang Palace is in the west of Chang 'an. Therefore, some people think that the west wind on Yuan Chaoting cannot be reversed, and then it blows to Changyang Palace in the west. For example, in Tang poetry, Du Chang was mistaken for a native of the Tang Dynasty. Some commentators said: "The last two sentences are written in a desolate state, which is not difficult to understand." Some people think it is "knowing each other", that is, the west wind blows and the cold rain falls in both places. In fact, the rain here refers to the sound of leaves being blown by the wind.

Modern translation

I came to Chang 'an from the far south of the Yangtze River and walked through countless landscapes, one journey after another; Walking into this deserted Huaqing Palace, it is the morning when the cold wind blows and the waning moon is in the sky. Climb to the towering peak of Yuan Chaoting, and the west wind bursts on the pavilion; They all blow to Changyang Palace, and the leaves rustle like rustling rain.

Comments and explanations

The first two sentences of the poem explain the background of visiting Huaqing Palace, while the last two sentences are padded with a sad style. The word "the waning moon in Xiao Feng" creates a feeling of loneliness and coldness, which makes people feel depressed. The last two sentences are to climb high and miss the past, and to express ups and downs through the vague scenery. The poem does not describe the vicissitudes of human life positively, but hunts the west wind in the court of the Yuan Dynasty, connecting it with the bleak autumn scenery of Changyang Palace, and inferring that when this wind blows into the ruins of the desolate palace, it will definitely set off a rain of fallen leaves. The poem is written with profound meaning, which easily reminds people of the sad sentence of the ancient poem "I hate many poplars in Taiwan and worry about killing many people", and the poet's meditation and sadness come from the endless regret of visiting the past at this moment. Leaves rustling, suspected to be cold rain, has nothing to do with Tang's Autumn from my brother Jia Dao.

"Listening to the rain is more thorough, opening the door and leaving the leaves deep" takes a similar path, and the poet reposes his vague sense of poetry through illusion. The whole poem is composed of four sentences and twenty-eight characters. The region is from Jiangnan to Shaanxi, and the time is for Tang Dahan. It has no sense of restraint, profound framing and broad momentum. There are many famous poems about Qing Palace in China in Tang Dynasty. Although this poem came out late, it has been widely praised by critics for its unique artistic conception.

Jixuan, Qiannan attic. This room is only ten feet square and can only accommodate one person. A century-old house, the dust and mud are seeping (shèn), and the rain is betting; Every time I move a box, there is no place to put it. The room faces north, so it gets dark at noon. I repaired a little (gas) to prevent water leakage. Four windows were opened in front, and a wall was built around the yard to keep out the sunshine in the south. It was sunny and the room was bright. In addition, orchids and osmanthus trees were planted in the court, and the old column J(shǔn) also increased the victory. Borrowing books, singing, sitting still, everything can be heard; There was silence in the court. Birds came to peck, but people didn't leave. On the night of the fifteenth day of the lunar calendar, the moon is high, illuminating half of the wall. The shadows of osmanthus trees are scattered, and the shadows are shaken by the breeze, which is very lovely.

However, I live here, and there are many things to be happy about and many things to be sad about. Before that, the courtyard was connected with the north and the south. Parents are different. There are many small doors inside and outside, and the walls are often reversed. Dogs bark in the west, guests have a feast, and chickens live in the hall. The yard was fenced in at first, then the wall was repaired and changed twice. There is an old woman (Yu) in my family, and I live here. Yi, the first maid, the second breast, Xian Yan (bǐ) caressed him very thick. The west and the back of the house are connected, and my mother used to come. Every time I say Yu, I say "somewhere, and my mother is here." Yu added, "Your sister (zǐ) is in my arms, quack (gū) is crying; Mother knocked on the door with her finger and said,' Are you cold? Do you want something to eat? I responded outside the board meeting. "Never put off till tomorrow what you can, I cried, I cried. One day, when I was in the reading room, my mother said to me, "Son, long time no see, why are you here silently?" Instead of going, he closed the door with his hand and said to himself, "My family's study has been ineffective for a long time, but I can wait for my son to succeed!" After a while, he came with an elephant (hù) and said, "This is what my great-grandfather Xuande insisted on using. You will use it one day! "Looking at the ruins, just like yesterday, people can't control the trombone.

The veranda with windows on the ridge has caught fire four times and can't be burned down. It must be protected by gods. Yu Ji (Ji not ng) and Yu Yu (yǒu) lived together. For a long time, they could distinguish people by their feet. Liu Bei and Cao Cao fought for the world, and Zhuge Liang was born in central Gansu, and made great achievements.

Ji Xiang said, "Shu Qing defends the Dan point, which is beneficial to the world, and then Qin Huang builds a daughter to clear Taiwan; Liu Xuande and Cao Cao fought for the world, and Zhu Gekongming started in Longzhong. The ignorance of both sides is in a corner, and the world knows enough. The rest of the area is defeated in the house, and when the eyebrows are raised and the eyes blink, it is called a spectacle. What's the difference between a famous figure in Kan Jing and a frog? " (There is no such passage in the second semester of Grade One in the last edition 16. )

The author wrote this story many years later. I wrote this story for this purpose. In the last five years, my wife came back to the porch to ask me about ancient things or learn some books. When the lady returned to Ning, she said to the younger sisters, "I heard that the younger sister has a pavilion. What is a pavilion?" In the next six years, my wife died and the ridge of the ridge was not renovated. Two years later, I was ill in bed for a long time without any sustenance, and I sent someone to repair the South Pavilion. The pattern was slightly different from the past. However, after that, I was more outside than living here.
