I. Pestaloqi
Johann Heinrich Pesterozzi (1746- 1827) was a famous Swiss democratic educator in the19th century. His love for education and persistent pursuit of educational innovation not only made important contributions to the development of education in the world, but also set a very respectable image for all educators.
Pestalozzi was influenced by French Enlightenment, especially Rousseau's, and benefited from the teaching of some progressive professors in the college. Determined to give up theological research, at the age of 38, he started a program to educate poor children, let them learn while spinning, and cultivate their self-reliance ability. He firmly believes that everyone has the innate development function and equal right to receive education.
The plan failed in the end and only gained some valuable experience. As his ideal could not be realized, he turned to writing.
