The first director of Children's Film Factory was Yu Lan, a famous performing artist. She is the mother of Tian Zhuangzhuang, one of the directors of the Fifth Generation Film. The number of films shot in this studio is not large. For example, from 198 1 to 1986, only 19 was filmed, but good results were achieved.
